Zillah Grey's presence was an unwelcome change to Lamia's plan. Nadia's move from the
Chateau to the Townhouse, however, was practically a gift. Lamia was well aware of the
fact that Kendrew was with her at the Ravenswick's Carthage home, and she knew of the
gifts the boy had. So, while the Ravenswicks had their gifts, Lamia had her tricks.
Imri was her most favored trick at the moment and with good reason. He had a past with
Zillah, which would make getting Grey away from his Mistress almost too easy. It took little
persuasion from Lamia to usher Imri inside, soft words and hot promises flowing from her
lips like a river over rocks.
As the demoness loitered outside the townhouse, sulking in the darkness of the surrounding
buildings. Imri would keep Zillah out of the way for only a limited amount of time, and she
would have to take care of a child and Nadia during this time. While she knew she could do
it, Lamia was still rather put off that she wouldn't be able to bask in her actions. She'd so
been looking forward to it.
When Imri was thrown bodily from the home, Lamia couldn't help but roll her eyes. So
much for the stealth and silence the demoness had so hoped for. She walked around the
townhouse slowly, taking enough time for things to once again settle down. Choosing to
enter through the kitchen, she hoped for emptiness. That's not what greeted her, though.
Kendrew was there, eating what appeared to be a bat-shaped cookie. The boy had woke
at the sound of the crashing window and, once Nadia had made sure the boy was safe and
returned to her room at her son's insistence, he had tottered into the kitchen for a snack.
Lamia didn't make a sound as she snuck up behind him, but the redhead paused mid-bite.
The succubus froze at the boy's rather cat-like action, as though he had somehow known
she was there, or was going to be there. She neither moved nor breathed nor made any sort
of sound as Kendrew stood there with his back to her. After half a moment or so, Kendrew
shrugged whatever feeling he had and finished the cookie, deciding it must have just been
from Nadia climbing the stairs. The shrug was her cue, Lamia swooping in on him, wrapping
an arm around his torso as she knelt to his level. She pulled his body snug against hers and
pinned his arms in place, her free hand covering Kendrew's mouth before he could scream.
She didn't hiss horrible things to Kendrew, nor did she threaten him within an inch of his life.
All Lamia did was shift her hold on Kendrew, one arm around his neck. The demoness
wouldn't have minded a little bloodshed, considering Kendrew had upset Lamia horribly the
last time they met, but she knew this wasn't the time. A simple, quiet sleeper hold would
suffice well enough. After only a couple moments Kendrew was unconscious and Lamia was
shoving his body into the pantry. She pulled a coffee table infront of the pantry doors and
set a couple flower pots on the table for added weight. Kendrew wouldn't be able to free
himself which is what she was counting on.
Satisfied that everything was in order in the kitchen, Lamia walked into the living area. She
paused near the foot of the stairs, listening. There was the ocean not far away, the rush of
the wind outside, and a soft tap-tap-tap from upstairs. Lamia smirked to herself, her
movements sleek and feral as she ascended the stairs.
Nadia was sitting at a large table in the middle of the room. Books and parchments were
spread out before her. She looked haggard and on edge. "I was wondering what took you
so long," Nadia said, not bothering to look up from a book with a purple cover. Lamia froze
and stared at the witch's back. "What was it that you threw out my window? You'll be
paying for the replacement, you know." Lamia didn't say anything as Nadia pulled forward
a couple charts. Blinking, the succubus gathered herself and walked over to Nadia; Was the
witch seriously this dumb?
"Look," Nadia said, slowly getting to her feet. She smoothed her gown as best she could over
her protruding belly. It was no longer classified as merely a 'bump.' She then began stacking
a few books. "I was joking about the window. And I checked on Kendrew already, so let's
jus--" Lady Ravenswick turned and caught site of Lamia, who held a rather licentious grin.
Nadia screamed and backed away quickly, the books dropping to the floor. Laughing, the
demoness lunged after Nadia, fingers grasping hold of her silk gown.
Lamia tugged hard, pulling Nadia against her, but not before the witch could get a word or
two in. She snarled something at Lamia, who shrieked loudly and shook her head, yet never
let go of the struggling Nadia. "Not this time!" the succubus cried, shaking Nadia hard. One
arm went around her neck and the other held one of Nadia's wrist. She'd reached for a
dagger. "I've waited too long!" Lamia squeezed her hand around the wrist roughly and
twisted it, which caused Nadia to cry out and drop the blade. Lamia practically slung Nadia's
form, using the arm around Nadia's neck as the main source of power, and the woman
dropped to her knees. Lamia sank down behind her, her free hand having pulled a dagger of
her own out from within the folds of her dress.
The witch cried out again, casting a weak summoning spell and calling for help; Moris,
Zillah, her Goddess ... anyone. Neither the spell or the cries for help did anything to hinder
Lamia, the former bringing forth a puny, deformed thing from another realm. It didn't bother
going after Lamia, instead rushing straight forward, slamming into the door to the bedroom.
It destroyed the oaken feature and dissipated.
The redhead raised the hand which held the dagger and Nadia fought harder. She scratched
at Lamia, kicked out as best she could in her pregnant state. She was useless, though.
Lamia just laughed again, yet when Nadia stopped her struggles, she was curious as to
why. Slowly, Lamia lowered the blade and watched Nadia through angry jade eyes. Nadia's
breathing was labored and she wouldn't meet Lamia's gaze. The demoness could hear
Nadia's heartbeat in the silence, the muscle pulsing fast as Nadia fought for her life. Then...
just then... Lamia picked out the child's heartbeat. Not Kendrew's, no, but the one in Nadia's
womb. It, too, had quickened, due to its mother's excitement. Curious, Lamia rested a hand
on Nadia's belly. The witch started to struggle again, fiercely, but a quick jerk from Lamia
stopped that.
The baby kicked and Lamia's head fell back as she laughed. This was too perfect. Nadia was
pregnant, yes, she'd known that going into this, but the child Lady Ravenswick carried was
now more than just a group of cells which were multiplying. This was a baby, nearly ready
for the world. It was active, it had a personality already.
Nadia and Moris had probably picked out names.
"This is too precious," Lamia hissed against Nadia's ear. "A slight change of plans is in store."
Nadia's struggles wouldn't be enough to stop Lamia as she tore into Nadia's belly with the
dagger. It was a quick slice, through silk, flesh, muscle, and fat. The witch let out a
heart wrenching cry, full of not just pain, but sorrow. Lamia threw down Nadia's body,
the witch in too much shock to put up anymore useful resistance. The gown was torn
away, exposing an expanse of blood-covered flesh. Lamia sliced again. She was being exact
about her art. She saw no reason to stab and slice wherever; the demoness was quite
confident that Nadia would be dead due to bloodloss soon enough. She pulled back sinew
and, with one final slice, freed the child who would have been a most glorious being.
Lamia held the form carefully in her bloodied hands. The child -- a girl -- was pale as the
moonlight. The demoness laughed, the sound cold and bitter as she stared at the girl. It'd
been so long since Lamia had done something like this, this killing of a defenseless child.
She'd brought herself back to the beginning with this action. She'd lived a complete cycle, in
a way. Shaking her head to bring herself back, Lamia picked up Nadia's torn dress and
wrapped the infant's now lifeless body in it. Nadia stared at her with blank golden eyes. She
couldn't even react properly and this pleased Lamia even more. The witch was as good as
dead.
With slow movements, Lamia leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on Nadia's pale lips. "We
all get what we deserve in the end, luv," she breathed. "Sometimes it just takes longer than
expected." She moved away then, picking up her dagger and sheathing it. The body held
snugly by one arm, Lamia looked at Nadia one last time before leaving, slowly descending
down the stairs, extinguishing the lights casually as she left.
